Built for Growing, Owner-Led Businesses
We work across industries. Our roots run deepest in home and land services, where most of our operating experience was earned.
A Good Fit
- Established businesses with real revenue and a team, growing faster than their systems
- Owners who are the bottleneck for approvals, pricing and hiring decisions
- Companies with leads coming in but no reliable view of what happens to them
- Businesses that want a written operating rhythm, not another strategy deck
- Home-service and trade companies, professional services and other operators
Probably Not a Fit
- Pre-revenue ideas that still need a product or a first customer
- Owners looking for a report to file rather than changes to make
- Anyone wanting guaranteed revenue numbers from a consultant
- Regulated legal, tax or investment advice (we do not provide it)
The Engagement in 44 Seconds
A short narrated walk-through of how an operations engagement runs, from discovery to a business that runs the system without us.

Skyfall helps owner-led businesses that have outgrown the way they are run. We interview the owner and key staff, and look at your tools and numbers. Then we map where time, leads and cash leak today.
You get a written plan: what changes, how it is measured, and what it costs, agreed before any work starts. The work covers pricing, operating systems, KPIs, financial controls, automation, and how fast your team follows up on sales. Hire us for one defined project, or as a fractional COO who runs the weekly operating meeting until it holds.
The goal is a business that runs the system on its own. Start the conversation at skyfallcapital.io.
The Six Areas We Work On
Most engagements touch two or three of these. The discovery step decides which ones matter first for your business.
- Finance and strategy: pricing, unit economics by service line, and cash planning, so growth does not quietly run the business out of money.
- Operating infrastructure: the tools, roles and handoffs between sales, scheduling, delivery and billing, written down so new people can follow them.
- KPIs and dashboards: a short list of numbers the team trusts, pulled from the systems you already use and reviewed on a fixed rhythm.
- Financial controls: approvals, reconciliations and spending rules that catch leakage before month end instead of after it.
- Automation: removing copy-paste between your CRM, calendar, accounting and phone systems, so information moves once and stays right.
- Sales and appointment setting: speed to lead, follow-up cadence and booking, the place most growing businesses lose the most money.
Four Steps, in Order
The same steps we use on every engagement, described on Our Approach.
Discovery
Interviews with the owner and key staff, a look at your tools and numbers, and a map of where time, leads and cash leak today.
Step 1Written Plan
What we will change, what it should move, how it is measured and what it costs. Scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts.
Step 2Build and Operate
We build the dashboards, controls and processes with your team and, as a fractional COO, can run the weekly operating meeting until it holds.
Step 3Measure and Hand Off
Progress is judged against the KPIs in the plan. The goal is a business that runs the system without us.
Step 4A Project or a Fractional COO
A defined project fixes one thing well: a KPI dashboard, a pricing model, a set of financial controls, a cleaned-up sales handoff. It has a fixed scope and a fixed price.
A fractional COO or integrator role suits owners who have the vision but need someone to run the operating side: set priorities each quarter, hold the weekly meeting, keep the scorecard honest and follow up on what was agreed. It is an ongoing engagement on a set number of hours a month, priced in writing.
Steven Cook leads this work. He runs finance and business strategy across the Skyfall portfolio: capital and portfolio architecture, shared operating infrastructure, KPIs, financial controls and automation. He brings more than a decade in solar, hands-on operating work in whole-home water treatment, and current work with operators in landscaping, roofing, softeners and other trades. Meet the team.
Questions Owners Ask
Do you only work with home-service companies?
No. We work with growing businesses of many kinds. Home services is where our roots run deepest, so it is where we have the most operating experience to draw on, but the problems we fix (slow follow-up, unreliable numbers, an owner who is the bottleneck) show up in every industry.
Are you a certified EOS Implementer?
No. If you already run on EOS or a similar operating system, we can work inside it as an integrator-style operator. If you do not, we set up a simple weekly rhythm of priorities, a scorecard and an issues list without requiring any framework.
How long does an engagement last?
Projects usually run a few weeks to a few months, depending on scope. Fractional COO work is ongoing and reviewed regularly so either side can adjust or end it.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped and priced in writing after discovery, before any work starts. There are no hidden fees and no long contracts by default.
Can you promise a revenue increase?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. We agree on what to measure in the plan and report against it honestly from data both sides can see.
